“For the last stage of this pack you’ll build the gearbox then attach it onto the cylinder head assembly.




Materials: The Gearbox (Left, Right, and Front Sides) are metal. The Gearbox (Top) is plastic.



Building and Attaching the Gearbox

NOTE: I have slightly changed the order of these steps from the provided instructions.

Step 1

Loosely install two (2) PS28 screws into these posts of the Gearbox (Top), as shown:

Step 2

Fit the two posts of the Gearbox (Top) into these matching notches of the Gearbox (Right Side), as shown.

Once happy with the fitment, fully tighten these two screws:

Step 3

Fit the posts of the Gearbox (Left Side) to the matching posts of the Gearbox (Right Side), capturing the Top in between as shown:

Step 4

Secure the Gearbox sides together with two (2) DS01 screws.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Step 5

Fit the Gearbox (Front) to these matching posts at the front of the Gearbox, orienting it as shown:

Secure the Gearbox (Front) into place with two (2) DS01 screws:

Step 6

Retrieve your Engine assembly from the previous stage. Slide the tabs of the Gearbox (Front) into these matching slots at the rear of the Cylinder Head (Left Side), orienting it as shown:

Step 7

Secure the Gearbox (Front) to the Cylinder Head with one (1) DS25 screw:


We spent all of Pack 2 building up the fantastic engine of our ‘No Time To Die’ Aston Martin DB5 and we still have more to go in the next shipment! Keep this Engine assembly stored safely until then.
