Materials: The Upper Right Control Arm is metal and the other parts are plastic.

Build

Building the Right Wheel Hub

Step 1

Fit the long post of the Right Wheel Hub down into the hole on the flat side of the Brake Disc, as shown:

Steps 2-3

The brake calipers on the real DB5 seem to be a golden zinc oxide type color. To replicate this look, we decided to hand paint this Caliper with some Tamiya X-12 Gold Leaf acrylic paint. But first, we needed to sand off the visible ‘R’ molded into the outer Caliper surface:

Then, we could paint the Caliper. This is what it looks like with the Brake Disc:

Slide the Caliper over the edge of the Brake Disc, align the two holes of the Caliper to the matching holes of the Right Wheel Hub, then secure the Caliper into place with two (2) DS21 screws.

Do not over-tighten these screws as you can easily crack the plastic:

Fitting the Upper Right Control Arm

Step 4

Retrieve your Chassis assembly from the previous stage. Lay out the Upper Right Control Arm and the two Upper Control Arm Brackets at the right front corner of the Chassis, as shown.

Note how the Control Arm will be fitted (arrow below):

Step 5

Hold the Control Arm to this upper right location of the Chassis Front, cover the forward end with a Bracket as shown, and then secure the Bracket into place with two (2) DS27 screws.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

In the same way, cover the rear end of the Control Arm with the second Bracket and secure it into place with two (2) more DS27 screws:

Thoughts

Strangely enough, I did not take a ‘final’ picture of this stage with the Control Arm installed. So, here is the completed Hub assembly!
